Case study
Pace coffee
Challenge
Local, small coffee roasters struggle to generate revenue early into launching their businesses. The challenge was to increase revenue streams, create visibility, and enable early growth for local coffee roasters.
Process
First I generated a list of ways to solve the problem, then I identified where new roasters might see the most growth opportunity, and lastly I created design assets to convey the solution.
Solution
A coffee company that packages local roaster coffee to get it on store shelves, helps establish visibility, and creates a new revenue stream for growing roasters.
Outcome
A business concept that could help local roasters grow significantly faster in their early stages, a visually aesthetic brand that will attract clients, and a business model that provides value for all parties involved.
Packaging
Inspired by my background in interface design, each package design uses layouts traditionally found on digital interfaces. The bag of is reflective of a tablet/desktop breakpoint, and the single column can, of a mobile layout.

Marketing website
Reflective of the packaging design, the site enables the customer to see themselves in the product. This simple marketing page was designed with the intent of peaking customer interest and enabling them to contact the company.

Logo design
Pace coffee is all about taking your path, at your pace. The logo was inspired by a forking path with the essence of a coffee bean.

Typography
Letter spacing conveys our mission to pace without rushing.
